Accounts Payable
Overview
Full‐time accounting position with TWG Development, LLC and its affiliated companies (collectively “TWG”). Benefits are offered and include: employee health insurance, 401K with a 4% match, three weeks of vacation, and a company cell phone. The Accountant will report directly to the Controller of TWG.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA eligible is a plus
Experience:
- Understanding of general ledger entries and financial reporting
- Experience with Quickbooks, Corecon, and/or Onesite is a plus
Skill Set:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and employ rational decision making skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word
- Exceptional with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts including fractions, percentages, and ratios
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administration:
- Maintain necessary records for accounts payable and receivable
- Correspond with vendors regarding invoicing and payment inquiries and discrepancies
- Complete monthly subcontractor pay applications for TWG affiliated entities
- Calculate time and material work completed by TWG affiliated entities each month
- Assist with certified payroll
- Assist with vendor W‐9s and the issuance of 1099’s
- Attend scheduled owner and staff meetings
Accounting:
- Assist with monthly financial statements
- Reconcile monthly bank statements
- Receive, code, and scan bills
- Assist with annual budgeting and cash flows
- Coordinate and process monthly subcontractor pay applications and weekly vendor invoices
- Assist with the monthly construction draw process, which includes receiving subcontractor pay applications and entering bills into Corecon
- Assist with monthly general contractor draws for developments under construction
- Maintain cost to complete and WIP schedules
- Maintain a retainage payable and receivable worksheet
- Maintain financial records and ensure accuracy
- Extract reports from Quickbooks and Corecon for construction team members when requested
- Complete other duties assigned by supervisory personnel
Customer Service:
- Correspond with subcontractors, vendors, and construction personnel in a timely and pleasant manner
- Contribute to an overall positive work environment
